Chengshan (BL57)

Chengshan is an acupressure point which can be used to relieve swelling in the legs. It is located on the posterior midline of the leg, in a pointed depression formed below the gastrocnemius muscle belly when the leg is stretched or the heel is lifted. Use your thumb and apply pressure or you can do circular motion with thumb.

Sanyinjiao (SP6)

Sanyinjiao is an acupressure point which can improve blood circulation and reduce swelling in feet and legs. It is located at four finger widths above the ankle, behind the inside border of the tibia. It should be pressed with the thumb for 5 minutes (6 seconds pressure and 2 seconds rest) as far as pain is tolerable. This procedure should have been repeated for the other foot.

Xuehai (SP10)

Xuehai is an acupressure point which can reduce swelling and pain of the knees and legs. It is located on the medial aspect of the thigh, when the knee is flexed. It is above the mediosuperior border of the patella, on the bulge of the medial portion of quadriceps femoris. Use your thumb and apply pressure or you can do circular motion with thumb.

Futu (ST32)

Futu, also known as Crouching Rabbit, can be used to relieve swelling in the legs. It is located on the thigh, on a line connecting the lateral patellar border and the anterior superior iliac spine, 8 inches superior to the upper lateral border of the patella. Use your thumb and apply pressure or you can do circular motion with thumb.
