She Chuang Zi is native to China. It must be collected in summer or autumn when the fruit grows ripe. She Chuang Zi covers meridians of spleen and kidney. Main functions are warming kidney, tonifying yang, removing dampness, destroying parasites, dispelling wind, relieving itching. Common uses and indications include impotence, itchy and clammy scrotum, womb-cold induced sterility in female, cold-damp induced morbid leukorrhea, arthralgia due to wind and dampness, scabies, eczema. Recommended dosage is from 3 to 9 grams.
