Description: Xin Yang Mao Jian is a green tea with a vegetal and nutty aroma. It is normally harvested in early spring. Tea leaves are picked from tea trees growing in the high mountain area of Xinyang. According to the growing season, Xin Yang Mao Jian can be classified into spring tea, summer tea and autumn tea.

History: During the Tang Dynasty, tea production began to flourish. Xinyang had become a famous tea area. At that time, the high-quality teas produced in Xinyang were designated as tribute teas to send to the emperors and nobles. The unique characteristics of Xin Yang Mao Jian were formed in the early 20th century. The tea farmers had improved the processing technology, which made Xin Yang Mao Jian develop rapidly.
